Hollywood Director Sohan Roy awarded at Telangana – Bengali Film Festival...

Hyderabad :  Hollywood Director, CEO & Founder of Aries Group of Companies and the founder director of Indywood , Sohan Roy  honored with a special award at the closing ceremony of the Telangana – Bengali Film Festival for his outstanding  contribution towards world cinema. The award was handed over to him recently at an event titled Aayana -2018 held at Hyderabad. The closing ceremony also honored various personalities who contributed significantly to Indian films throughout their career.

The Award Winning Hollywood Film Director, CEO & Founder of Aries Group of Companies, Sohan Roy is also being recognized for supporting Indian film industry through various projects. He leads the USD 10 billion Project Indywood which aims to elevate the Indian Film Industry to global standards in the next five years through a consortium of 2,000 Indian billionaires and corporates.

The Rs 70,000 crore Project Indywood plans to initiate 10,000 new 4K projection multiplex screens, 100,000 2K/4K projection home cinemas, 8K/4Kfilm studios, 100 animation/VFX studios and film schools conforming to international standards.

Aries Group is one of the largest multinational conglomerates in the Middle East with 48 companies operating in 15 countries. Sohan Roy’s Hollywood directorial venture Dam999 won national and international accolades, including five Oscar selections. Besides, he pioneered the concept of building dual 4K multiplexes and 4K Atmos home cinemas in less space.

Sohan Roy, listed as one of the Top Powerful and Influential Leaders in Middle East 2017 by Forbes Middle East, is a member of New York-based International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences (IATAS).  He also listed amongst the Top 50 Indian Business Leaders in the Arab World by Forbes 2015 and 2016.

Javed Akhtar Inagaurates Former Union Minister Kamal Morarka art Exhibition – THE Big Cats...

The Latest innovative works of an eminent wildlife lover an ace photographer, Kamal Morarka has been displayed in a solo show at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai from 29th January to 4th February 2019 between 11am to 7pm.

It has been ceremoniously inaugurated by well-known dialogue and script writer from Bollywood Mr. Javed Akhtar at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai on 29th January 2019

The present series incorporate is artistic perceptions about the daily routine life of big cat and its various facets normally observed in deep forests, sanctuaries and national park all over the world. It meticulously reveals their sentimental attachments with other wild animals, affinity towards their cubs and different action at various styles with also illustrate different moods of the big cats in many sentimental expressions and its special features such as attacking positions, fight with other animals and other related feelings in relevant arenas. One can certainly get acquainted with the deep involvement of Mr. Kamal Morarka with his photographic endeavors and duly highlight the artistic genre and unparalleled talent in him to artistically adorned each creation with the desired visual effects at the strategic arenas in the world.

On Nature’s Trail

Kamal M.  Morarka,  the well known industrialist is now engaged in various community and philanthropic activities and in conversation of art, heritage, culture and wildlife.

He has been a Member of Parliament and a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office in the Chandra Shekhar Government 1990-91. He has been the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India for a number of years and is the Chairman, World Trade Centre, Mumbai.

He is promoting the restoration of havelis in Shekharwati, Rajasthan and is also promoting organic farming in a big way. As a hobby he has been pursuing wild life photography. He regularly visits National Parks and Sanctuaries in India and has visited  South Africa and Kenya for wildlife photography.

His interest in wild life photography dates back to 1995 when he first visited the Keoladeo National Park at Bharatpur to see the Siberian Cranes who migrate to India from Siberia. Subsequently he became a keen follower of the Siberian Crane and he made several visits to Bharatpur to capture glimpses of this beautiful bird.

Thereafter he visited Nagarhole, Kabini and Ranganthitu. Annual visits to Sariska followed with more visits to Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench where he was able to get beautiful pictures of the ever elusive tiger. The passion grew and he ventured to see more wild life in the famous Masai Mara region in Kenya, Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The AGM of Cine Still TV and Motion Photographers  Association  for 2019 was held at the Take It Easy Hotel. On the occasion, several artistes from Bollywood were honored with trophies by Munde Media Entertainment Company. Present on the musical occasion were Mehul Kumar, Pankaj Beri, Aaartii Nagpal, Pammi Moton, DS Pahwa, Dilip Gulati and Komal Gulati, Pradeep Jain, Rajiv Nigam, Kishori Shahane Vij, Bobby Vats, Sunil Pal, Ashfaq Kopikar, Nikhil Kamat, Smita Gondkar, Harry Verma, Singer Madhushri, singer Raju Tank, K Ravi, Sanjay Verma, Kavaljit Singh, Mohammed Salamat, Sparsh Sharma, Manoj Nathwani etc. Several photographers were also felicitated  with mementos.

Suraj Jagtap, Girish K Verma, Purushottam Mathur, Dilip K. Waghela, Feroz Khan, Ashok Singh and Prabhat K Verma were awarded with a momento.

The AGM of The Welfare Trust of The Still, TV and Motion Photographers was also organised by the Photographers Association. Sanjeev Gupta played a very major role in the initiative of Ramakant Munde  and Raju Tank since he devoted a lot of his precious time to give away the various trophies and mementos. It may be noted that Sanjeev Gupta /s name is well known in ad circles, who has brought the concept of outdoor advertising to a bigger level and league with his outfit Global Advertisers. By the way, Sanjeev Gupta  is the recipient of more than 350 awards till date and also figures in the Limca Book of Records and Limca Book of Records and Indian Book of Records.

Present in large numbers on the occasion were artistes from the forthcoming films like Kargil Se Kanyakumari Tak and Gow Hatya On the occasion, Raza Murad congratulated the grand initiative by Ramaklant Munde and Raju Tank and added that  the job of the still photographers is very risky and quite often they stand the risk of sacrificing their precious lives while doing their duty as they lead a very risky life. Aarti Nagpal and Smita Gondkar  appreciated Ramakant Munde’s efforts and initiative and lauded the Association for coming forward to honor the photographers with trophies in appreciation of their  hard work.
