Designers Purva Patel, Ruchika Hurria, Payal Sethi, Rajdeep Ranawat, showcased their collections at ‘Gennex 2018’ fashion show.

26th April 2018, New Delhi: Neha Ankit Sarna, founder of Gennex India and Big Boy Toyz hosted an extravagant fashion show, ‘Gennex Fashion show 2018’ in a majestic blend of showcasing fashion and trends glamorously on April 24th, 2018 at Roseate House, Aerocity, New Delhi.

Established back in 2017 by a Delhi based young woman, Neha Ankit Sarna is a graduate in Journalism from Wigan and Leigh College, Delhi, GENNEX is an impressive concept.

With the idea and motive to become a helping hand and support the designers so as to provide them with a platform to showcase their designs and talent to the audience, the company has been organizing events and shows in the city to make space for upcoming, lesser-known talents for a year now.

Serving the purpose and prime motive of the organization with the intention behind it, many fashion-designers across the country assembled to showcase some of their unique collections for this fall at the rendezvous led by the Creative head of the fashion show and host, Neha Ankit Sarna.

Ace designers Ruchika Hurria, Payal Sethi, Ritambhara Paliya, Rajdeep Ranawat, and Purva Patel exhibited their beautiful outfits with the models on the ramp adding a taste of glamour in the fashion night along with the team of people like Nitin Arora, the Photographer, Purva Petel’s model Makeup artist Jhanvi Kaur, model Makeup artist Sewak Singh (guru), Choreographer- Ketan Bhatiya, Stylist-Shanya Arora and Costume Designer- Sagri Rawal who extended their support in making the show a super hit.

Apart from the designers and the Gennex team, the event was graced by the company of special guests of the evening, Former Pond’s Femina Miss India and Bollywood Actress Zoya Afroz accompanied by the celebrity models Krishna Somani and Sonam Chhabra jatin Ahuja, Ritika Ahuja, Puraskar Thadani, meakup artist Minakshi dutt, designer Mukesh and Sammy Katyal.

Wrapping up the show and the evening, designer Purva Patel along with her Model Preeti Bhora came as show stopper on the ramp followed by the uninterrupted echo of applause resonating in the venue, her makeup was done by Makeup artist Jahnvi Kaur.

In the warm company of such prominent names from the fashion industry and gorgeous models, the stage was set on fire. The zeal in the audience played a pivotal role in making the event and Gennex India’s dream project Gennex 2018, a big success.

Beginning with her first show in August last year and seeing such amazing response throughout till the evening of Gennex Fashion show 2018’, Neha and her team look forward to many such events and gathering of different designers in the city and across the nation in the near future and hope that the fashion industry continues to scale great heights.

आधुनिकता और परंपरा से जुड़ी ग्लैमर के अद्वितीय मिश्रण के साथ आयोजित इस मेगा शो में देश के लोकप्रिय फैशन डिजाइनर रुचिका हूरिया, पायल सेठी, रितमभारा पालिया, राजदीप राणावत, पुर्वा पटेल ने अपनी बेहतरीन परिधानों को देश की नामचीन माडल्स के माध्यम से रैम्प पर पेश कर ‘जेननेक्स 2018‘ फैशन शो को यादगार बना दिया। कार्यक्रम में पूर्व पाॅन्ड्स फेमिना मिस इंडिया और बाॅलीवुड अदाकारा जोया अफरोज, सेलेब्रीटी माॅडल कृष्णा सोमानी और सोनम छाबरा, जतिन अहूजा, रितिका अहूजा, पुरस्कार थडानी, मेकअप आस्र्टिस्ट मिनाक्षी दत्त, डिजाइनर मुकेश और सैमी कातयाल मौजूद रहे। शो के अंत में पूर्वा पटेल अपनी माॅडल प्रीती भोरा के साथ शो स्टाॅपर के रुप में उतरीं जिनका दर्शकों ने जमकर स्वागत किया।

फैशन शो के इस ग्लैमरस शाम में मॉडलों ने जब उनके परिधानों के साथ रैम्प पर कैटवाॅक के साथ पेश किया तो यहां उपस्थित लोग परिधान को देख मंत्रमुग्ध हो उठे। जेननेक्स इंडिया की सपना परियोजना जेननेक्स 2018 के फाउडंर  नेहा अंकित सरना का मानना है कि आज की शाम याद करने की शाम रही।

Designer Kamaldeep Kaur pays a tribute to woman artisans, launches her new summer collection hand crafted by them...

Mumbai, 2018: Known for reviving the Shibori technique and giving livelihood to a number of woman artisans, Designer Kamaldeep Kaur launched her new summer collection.

Hand crafted using the techniques of Shibori and Bandhej, Kamaldeep Kaur’s new summer collection boasts of beautiful range of Saris. Meticulously tying 1000s of dots together, each Sari in the collection has taken almost a year to complete. Inspired by the culture of Japan, Africa and Malaysia, the collection is an extension of her previous collection and showcases the high quality Indian craft. The colour palette boasts of summer shades including pastel brown to bright yellow and green. Each Sari has been teamed with blouses with stylish cuts and silhouettes.

Designer Kamaldeep Kaur says “This collection is an ode to all those women who have spend hours designing these beautiful saris. Each piece is a work of art. This collection is a tribute to all those woman artisans who have worked hand in hand with me, to design this beautiful collection”.

Designer Kamaldeep Kaur has formerly worked for the Ministry of Textiles and the Gujarat State Emporium for various design development projects in tie and dye from 1998 to 2006. A revivalist, designer Kamaldeep Kaur has also authored a book “Resources Usage and Practices in the Hand Printing Industry of Rajasthan”.  Being a renowned expert in this field, she is invited from all around the work to give presentation and workshops on Working with Natural Dyes, Techniques of Bandhani, Lehriya etc. Kamaldeep focus has been on quality and to promote this quality all over the world, informing people of the rich traditions in craft and the high level of skill of craftspeople in India, and with an aim to rid the view of India’s cloth production existing solely of the cheap mass-produced garments.
