Rapchee Originals To Stump OTT Platforms

India has seen a tremendous rise of video content on various platforms in the past couple of years. With cheaper and efficient data costs, the Over the Top (OTT) platforms are racing ahead as far as online video streaming consumption of contents are concerned.

The pandemic and the lockdown has given rise to online-video streaming consumption.

“Rapchee Originals” is the new OTT platform which will join the bandwagon from this ‘Chhath Puja’ (21st November 2020) and is gearing up to emerge as the most preferred online platform to watch content on different genre across the globe.

Adding radiance to the glitter of the festival season “Rapchee Originals” is all set to take the audience by storm with its compact story telling in all forms, high-rated production values, combined with blossoming romance and eerie thrills.

Dharam Gupta, the Founder and Managing Director of “Rapchee Originals” is beaming with joy at the launch of his new baby. He says, “It is like my distant dream come true. My OTT platform – “Rapchee Originals” is entirely free for all its viewers.” Wishing all the viewers and those concerned, he adds, “ ‘Chhath Puja’ is an ancient Hindu vedic festival dedicated to the solar diety ‘Surya’ and ‘Shashthi Devi’ (Chhathi Maiya) and in order to thank them for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and request granting of certain wishes. Thus I too chose this day after facing uncertainty throughout the lockdown periods.”

Gupta further states that my OTT platform is for the entire family. There is no vulgarity or cheap thrills, obscenity in any of my different contents and over all is purely Indian in nature. “All the members irrespective of any age can sit together and watch and enjoy all the contents streamed on this platform.”

He further adds, “We have categorized and as an extended arm into three more FBs; viz; “Lollypop Originals”  and “Shuddh Bhojpuri”;  while in “Selfie Originals” it  will provide a podium for young talents not only from India but across the world, who will be given an opportunity to showcase their art and present different variety of programmes.”

Dharam  Gupta began his career as an assistant production manager and rose to the ranks of starting his own production company – Water Drop Entertainment & Media Private Limited.

His production house made many television serials including “Crime Alert” which gave opportunities to many aspiring makers to film their content overseas for the first time.

His various programmes to be aired on his platform have veteran and dignified actors like Ranjit, Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad, Jasleen Matharu amongst many others.

The corona virus pandemic had indeed put a spanner for his launch, but that gave him and the web platform enough time to re-work on good quality contents which speaks volumes of culture. Highlighting traditions and customs, he recalls that the ages’ old saga “Ramayana” and “Mahabharat” is still today successful and appreciated.
