Chandigarh, October 14, 2020: A talented Punjabi singer, writer, and composer Nikk, who’s emotional & soul-stirring song titled ‘Hosh’ with Big Boss 13 contestant, Mahira Sharma touched millions of hearts and crossed over 30 million views, has unveiled another romantic track ‘Badaami Rang’. The song has been released under the banner of Bang Music and Gremin Media is also associated with the song.

This time Nikk has reunited for the music video for the romantic track with the versatile actress, Avneet Kaur once again and their chemistry in the song is quite evident. The video has an edgy, international appeal with foreign artistes seen dancing and partying at the beautiful sea shores which have been used quite effectively as shooting locales in the song’s video. Goa offers a picturesque backdrop to Nikk’s latest single Badaami Rang’, giving the video  a completely different feel compared to other Punjabi songs.

The lyrics and music are mesmerising. Nikk singing ‘Badaami rang nakhre bhang nain sharaab munda young’ in his inimitable and soothing voice has helped the song race  to the top at YouTube. The 3 minutes track ‘Badaami Rang’ sung by Nikk, has hit the right chords with the youth, and helped it cross over 3 million views in just two days of its launch. It is one of the best  trending Punjabi songs at the music charts.

Nikk said, “’Badaami Rang’ is a romantic track, which is quite refreshing and unique. I am quite certain that we will receive the same appreciation & love from music lovers as we received in our previous videos. Earlier, too, both me and Avneet have done music videos together. ‘Teri Naar’ and ‘Yaari’ had received loads of views from the audience.”

Avneet said, “We thoroughly enjoyed the song shoot after the long hiatus of lockdown at beautiful locations of Goa. It was like more of a vacation than work. It was a new experience for all of us as we adopted the ‘new normal’ during shooting and followed stringent norms to counter the COVID 19 threat.

In the song, Nikk is playing the role of a romantic guy who is teasing a girl – actress ‘Avneet Kaur’. Nikk while talking about his partner in the song said, “Avneet is a talented and glamorous actress. ‘Badaami Rang’ is about a romantic couple and how they enjoy time in Goa. Romance is one of the few things that people always love to watch during the time of the pandemic. It will be refreshing for viewers to enjoy a song shot in Goa.”

The USP of the song is the chemistry that Nikk and Avneet share on-screen. The natural acting skills displayed by the duo helps in developing an instant connect with the audience.

It is noteworthy that Nikk has been involved in all major aspects of making the music video. From selecting locations to sharing his ideas with the  director , songwriting to composition, Nikk has done it all.

The song was shot post-lockdown in Goa. In the wake of the pandemic, the crew took all preventive measures during the song shoot to keep the virus at bay. While shooting the song there were more than 200 people including the foreign artistes, who all had undergone a ‘screening test’ for COVID-19.

Singer Vee Kapoor Says- I Hope More People With Vitiligo Are Accepted In The Entertainment Industry...

Singer Vee Kapoor, who is known for soulful devotional songs like ‘Giridhari’ and ‘Saavaro’ which have been released by prominent music labels like Times Music, has come forward to support a cause championed by his designer Saran Kohli. A while back, Saran started suffering from vitiligo, a skin based disease which compelled him to come up with an awareness campaign to spread awareness about it. He thought of designing a series of masks that would reflect what people, who suffer from this condition, go through.

Talking about the same, he says, “As artists, we have a certain responsibility towards society. I have the means to reach out to those who like my music and follow my work. I thought of using that reach to support my friend’s initiative and make more people aware of this condition and the discrimination which people who suffer from this go through. I was happy to wear the mask, endorse it and put out a statement out there along with a bunch of wonderful people who stepped forward to support this initiative. I have always been proud of my friend Saran’s achievements.  He has made the country proud with his incredible work as a designer and I am so glad to see him taking this initiative now.”

The mask is a dual or multi-coloured one and aims to educate people about vitiligo and how people ought to be more sensitive about those who suffer from it.

The society, including the entertainment industry, needs to be more sensitive about this. There are also some extremely insensitive who mock people suffering from skin diseases.

“I am sure this campaign will make people think and bring about a positive change in society. Wearing these masks is a very creative way to spread awareness about it. I am very happy to be a part of it”, Vee Kapoor states.

Playback Singer Hrishikesh Chury Plants 200 Plus Saplings Amid Lockdown...

Due to the ongoing pandemic and global lockdown, we can say that we all are confined to stay indoors since many days. Most of us are working from home and spending time on social media and television. But alongwith this, some of us are doing their bit for the nature and environment too. One such person is singer Hrishikesh Chury who has been busy with his love for nature. From day one of the lockdown till today he has been planting more than 200 saplings and trees in his personal garden.

Hrishikesh says, “While living in a concrete jungle like Mumbai, I feel blessed to have a garden in the heart of the city. This is our family home which is surrounded by various trees of mango, banana, papaya, coconut and few flowers. I get this love for nature through my parents who have planted various trees in their lifetime. From the first day of the lockdown, I had the opportunity to plant few saplings and with each day we kept on increasing. We also added around 150 vertical gardening pots. My motto and messageis simple, that Earth Day should be celebrated Every Day.”

International NGO Earth Day Network has recently announced Hrishikesh Chury as their India Ambassador along with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Affron, Anil Kapoor and Anand Mahindra to name a few.

Also he has been a Grand Jury for many seasons on the popular musical shows like Saregamapa and Saregamapa Lil Champs.
